JTV: Jane the Virgin Season 5 Release Updates

Jane the Virgin is into its last season. Sadly there will be no more seasons after this as it was confirmed that the series will be ending after the fifth season of the show. The time to finally say farewell to the hit comedy series.

The latest season of Jane the Virgin began airing in the United States on March 27th on The CW. The episodes of the show are released to Netflix UK each week within 24 hours of their US premiere. The final episode of season 5 is going to air on August 1, 2019.

As I already said, there won’t be another season of Jane the Virgin. This was confirmed by the show’s producers and creator Jennie Snyder Urman. In a statement, they said, “[We’ve] always known when it was going to end,” Executive Producer Brad Silberling told Metro. “It will be 100 episodes when it’s done and 100 is exactly where Jennie [Snyder Urman] always hoped it could end the story. So it’s perfect.”

Cast:
The main cast made a return for the final season of Jane the Virgin. Here is the cast of the show—
Gina Rodriguez as Jane Villanueva
Andrea Navedo as Xiomara De La Vega
Yael Grobglas as Petra Solano
Justin Baldoni as Rafael Solano
Ivonne Coll as Alba Villanueva
Elias Janssen as Mateo Solano Villanueva
Brett Dier as Michael Cordero/Jason
Jaime Camil as Rogelio De La Vega

If you didn’t know a spin-off of the show was planned but, it never came to fruition. So, I doubt they will attempt something like that again in the future. The global release of the fifth season on Netflix will most likely be a week after the fifth season finished airing.
